The artworks no matter what they are discussing or reflecting, all contain the same strangely homogeneous mixture of humor, sarcasm, and wisdom! I'm still exploring the dichotomies of popular culture through the mediums of video and painting for over 35 years. My life in Egypt and Germany during a period of continuous political and cultural change became a transformation of what it means to be from ‘the East’ is a thought that runs through much of my art practice.
